London: One Killed in Tower Bridge Bus Crash
The accident, involving a route 188 bus, happened at the junction of Tower Bridge Road and Tanner Street at 9.23am.
Police have declared the crash a major incident, putting hospitals in the area on high alert to receive the injured.
The woman - thought to be a pedestrian - was killed when the double decker bus, travelling from North Greenwich station in south east London to Russell Square, crashed into a tree.

London Ambulance Service said 18 people were treated at the scene - including four with serious injuries who were taken to hospital.
Another five people with minor injuries were also taken to hospital.
Witness Emlyn Exon, of Anderson Travel coach hire in Tower Bridge Road, said the top deck of the bus had "pretty much caved in" at the front.

I cycle along there a lot and it is heavilly congested and lots of speeding drivers. In fact when I was there last time 3 pedestrians had been killed.
