The police appear to be taking a rather reserved approach to the rioting, possibly in light of incidents preceding them. Not that the shooting of an armed criminal can be logically connected to what is going on in London at the moment. The peaceful demonstrations were unfortunately used as an excuse by the general scum and yobs to start destroying their own neighbourhood. Rubber bullets and tear gas should be brought out and anyone stupid enough to be on the wrong side of the police line deserves what they get... which for starters should be a damn good beating. Think this is one thing that Saudi Arabia has right, anyone caught stealing or vandalising property should have a hand chopped off.... It's not as if these @$$£@!&'s do any work anyway. Can guarantee the odd Saturday morning amputation would raise some cash for a good cause as well as instantly reducing the crime rate.And to think the Olympics are going to be held in London next year! Great publicity for London! Come to the Olympics... just be sure to leave all your valuables at home. Book early to reserve your armour plated limo. Unfortunately where ever you go in the world you will find these low life £%^%$@'s. Living proof that Darwins theory of evolution isn't quite as accurate as originally thought!

It was supposed to have started when an armed kid was shot and it won't end until several more kids are shot. A civilized society must hold uncivilized elements in the community accountable and it must be made clear to one and all that rioting is unacceptable. To convince rioters of this one can't stand by wringing one's hands. Declare martial law and set up curfews. Bring out the army if there is not enough police to manage the situation and make it clear that vandals will be shot on the spot. Then follow up. Sadly, after a few are killed the rest will regain their sanity and crawl back into their holes.

Maybe the rioters should try living in Somolia, or Afghanistan or Bosnia? How about Greece or Spain or Italy even! Frig! Spoiled wrotten is what these rioters are. How about having some respect, gratitude and try sucking it up a bit. Buck up and carry on, ya things may suck a bit a times but really is this any way to handle it! Be a part of your community, in creating it, reinventing and make it better. You are a member and you owe it to yourself and your fellow citizen. Try holding your head high and being proud of your community, your county and yourself. Life can be as great as you want to make it.
