A fire started in Long Beach, New York, just after 3am this morning and nine stores along the strip were destroyed and one firefighter was injured.

The fire started in an investment firm and quickly spread to eight other commercial buildings, including a restaurant, and a clothing store.

About 200 firefighters from 10 departments responded to the four-alarm fire, which took about four hours to put out.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, but it is under investigation.
