If Christians gave out membership cards we'd be irked by some of the unsavory characters we'd share our Club House with as we made our way through a crowded lounge area. We'd rub shoulders with child molesting priests and smooth-talking embezzling church ministers; we'd stumble over picket signs left on the floor by women who's hypocrisy preaches about family values and berates the life styles of others but yet they themselves cannot come to term with the infidelity of their adulterous husbands; we'd shrug as we looked towards the bar as white supremacists quoted bible scriptures in an attempt to legitimize their disdain for other races while the self-righteous & finger wagging elders sat by the fireplace across the room passing judgment on everything they saw unfold before them. Indeed, there are a handful of things that freak me out about this world we live in; dogs that can bark the alphabet and re-runs of 'I Love New York'; but nothing makes me more uneasy, more uncomfortable than some of us Christians.
What brings great discomfort to me are those moments us Christians act as though we are entitled to everything holy & righteous; those moments when we start to depict ourselves as the overseers of everything moral & ethical, the deciders of everything right & wrong. Its those moments that brought us the Crusades & the Spanish Inquisition; those moments that gave birth to the Christian Identity Movement that sustains white supremacist ideologies & those moments that spawned cold blooded murderers such as Scott Roeder who believed they were doing God's will.
Lord, save me from your followers and save me from me; save me from those moments when self-realization turns into self-absorbtion and self-awareness turns into self righteousness; save me from that moment when we cross the line and become judgmental; that moment when we start to project our beliefs, values and ideals onto others thus making us unappreciative of the person you yourself intended them to be.
sincerely yours,
Kwapi

Hi, Kwapi. I think that all you need to make this newsworthy is one example of hypocrisy by "Christians" that is in current events. Then you should put that news item in your story and cite the source. If you need any help doing that, just read some of my recent articles at http://NowPublic.com/duo. Lots of examples of hypocrisy are available in the news every single day, unfortunately. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God - some shorter than others. That is one thing that has not changed since Biblical times. Try this article:
