Just after 6AM the A9 road near the Slocht Summit in the Scottish Highlands became blocked after a van crashed off the road and a Tesco lorry jackknifed. The A9 was blocked both South and Northbound due to excessive Ice on the road.

The road was reopened shortly before 10AM today.

The A9, which stretches 273 miles from Falkirk to Scrabster on the Pentland Firth, is known for its accidents, thankfully this one did not result in any injuries.
