The Lieutenant Governor of Illinois, Pat Quinn was on CBS's Meet the Press Sunday, and said that he was certain that Governor Rod Blagojevich would be impeached and convicted by Abraham Lincoln's bicentennial birthday celebration on February 12th.

Quinn described Blagojevich as “isolated” in his decision-making and surrounded by "tight palace guard" that "tells him what he wants to hear and not what he needs to know."

"He needs to know he's disgraced himself and he's disgraced the people of Illinois," Quinn said.
Quinn would become governor if Blagojevich left office.  He said he would call for a special election to fill Obama's seat.

They certainly aren't wasting any time getting rid of this guy.

That would be odd if Quinn were in. Check me on this, but he ran for different state offices as a reformer and an anti corruption candidate. Problem is in Illinois that when you are elected the swearing in ceremony somehow sucks out your morals and eats them.

I think he needs to go but a hearing and impeachment and trial in 6 weeks may not give him due process.
