Well the army said they captured air raids..Not air planes...No need to capture them since LTTE sends those planes to attack mudpits in colombo and get shot frm the air-force just like what happened yesterday!!

" ....USED THESE AGE OLD PLANES TO ATTACK CAPITAL."
Z-143 is the aircraft they used in their "airwing". Max speed 265 km/h, introduced in 1992. As far as aircrafts concerned, this is not an age old plane.

Army never claimed they have destroyed all LTTE zlin crafts before, and the so-called "attack" got the LTTE lose their 2 aircrafts, 2 pilots and cost the lives of 2 civilians in the Capital.

:-)
Usually in human countries such aircrafts are used by hobbyists , boyscouts and NCC (national cadet corps - organizations that provide some kind of military training to school / collegue children - to instill disipline and make them better human beings). Only species who had their head replaced with a vaccum cleaner would form an "air farse" with such toys and send and spend trained pilots to attack a modern airforce like that of Sri Lankans.
But I must agree, from the reactions of the Sri Lankan sources , that pirapaharan indeed achieved the "element of surprise" with this "attack".
:-))

Agent,
Yup, you are right. The "mission" accomplished. And what was the target?
1 civilian at IRD building + a few window panes.
1 Swamp Hen in Katunayake.
