LTTE Supporting Tamilnadu politician arrested under NSA in India

According to the reports, a case was filed against Kolathur Mani, state president of pro-LTTE PDK party in Dindigul police station over his speech in Dindigul, Tamilnadu, India,  in a meeting on topic "Eelam burning". This incident occurred on February 26th .He allegedly justified the killing of Mr Rajeev Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, stating that it was a revenge by the Sri Lankan Tamils for Indian Peace Keeping Forcing(IPKF) killing the Tamils in Sri Lanka, during its operation.



Chennai, March 11: The state president of the pro-LTTE Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (PDK), Kolathur Mani, was on Wednesday detained under the National Security Act (NSA), for making a 'provocative speech' and justifying the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi by the banned outfit.
Police said Mani's speech went againt Indian soverignty and amounted to inciting people to resort to violence. He was already arrested by the Dingidul Police on March two and remanded to judicial custody.
