Maria del Carmen de La Fuente from La Paz Mexico could have brought another medal but she came up on 5th, which is good considering she was ranked among the best 8 in international championships.

Thanks to Carmen for her effort and courage, the Vietnam participant seemed pretty tough and obtained bronze.

Vietnamese wushu athlete, Nguyen Mai Phuong, on August 22 won a bronze medal for Vietnam at the Beijing Olympic Games.

Wushu a Chinese martial art is making its first appearance as a demonstration sport at this year’s Olympics.

The gold was won by Ma Lingjuan ( China ) with 19.60 points, and Han Jing ( Macao ) claimed silver with 19.30.
