Bernie Madoff is dying of cancer, according to fellow inmates at the Federal Correction Complex in Butner, NC. Bernie Madoff, currently serving a 150-year prison sentence in North Carolinafor carrying out the world's largest Ponzi scheme, is supposedly suffering from pancreatic cancer, and is treating it with both pharmaceuticals and holistic medicine. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Prisons denies that Bernie Madoff has cancer.

Bernie Madoff cancer stories began to circulate before he was sentenced, but have never been confirmed.

"He's been taking about 20 pills a day for his cancer," said one inmate.

"He talks about it all the time. He's not doing very well."

The Post said Madoff's lawyer did not return messages Sunday and had previously declined to answer questions about whether Madoff had cancer. Reuters could not reach Madoff lawyer Ira Sorkin immediately for comment.

Can you imagine the uproar if the US released him on "compassionate grounds?"  Won't ever happen, I know.  Good thing, huh?

He won't have to worry about the current health care debate.  He will be kept there and receive great medical care.

For someone who was responsible for so much misery, I hope he is miserable to the day he draws his last breath. He's a good scammer...I guess he can even scam his inmate buddies into believing he's sick. Poor Bernie. Boo hoo...like we would really care if he had cancer.
