MALAYSIAN LAW (FIRST WOMAN EVER TO BE CANED)

An ugly first.It is reflective of the decline in understanding,mutual tolerance and compassion in Malaysian multi-ethnic,multi-religious,multi-cultural,multi-color,multi-nationality society.
This crazy precedent is really shocking - that in this modern world,a woman can be punished for drinking beer with unprecedented six lashes under muslim law.
She was taken to be caned but the powers at the top wisely intervened and the stupid officials ferrying her to prison for the caning had to make a U-turn and sent her home.
But the caning has merely been postponed because this is the month of Ramadhan,the holy fasting month in the muslim calender.
What will happen to her in future is still unknown.
Rationality and sensibility must be promoted to prevent the caning.Proper steps must also be taken to stop syariah officials for exceeding their powers.
Instead of caning her,the relevant authorities should cane those fools instead!!!
