This is a complicated situation. The mayor

has a right to dress any way he pleases

when he is on his own time,  Few people

would dispute this. However, when he is

representing the city then there are limits

on his freedom.to choose what to wear.

The people of the town knew he was

transgender when he was elected so

that is not the issue.  The real issue is

whether he was dressed appropriately

for a business meeting, representing the

city.

"     "Why are we even having this discussion?  I'm an adult.  I'll wear what I please," he said.

Ken Hector, President of Silverton Together, said the mayor violated the city's dress code when he spoke to a group of leadership students wearing a bathing suit top, a mini skirt and high heels. And he said three parents complained to him directly about the mayor's appearance.

"This was a business meeting pure and simple and it was not something on his free time," Hector said.   "

Well, looking at the pic's I don't think he is wearing clothing appropriate for conducting city business.

I agree in full.  City business and personal life call for different standards.

I think wearing the bathing suit top to meet with the students is a bit too much ...

Yes, very much too much.

Bad taste. Being a transexual and going over to his feminine side has done nothing for his taste or his sense of propriety.
