The sister of a Sydney woman whose throat was cut by her husband after a heated argument has expressed anger and disgust at the six-year jail sentence he was given in the NSW Supreme Court today.
Speaking after Chamanjot Singh, 24, was sentenced by Justice Peter McClellan for manslaughter, a tearful Jaspreet Kaur said Australia had "very, very bad laws".
"I am not happy with the laws; it's bullshit," Ms Kaur said.

5 or 6 years was a sentence in Slovakia until I guess, 1997 or so.. this was for pre-planned or burglary murder , not only crime of passion.. now, its much harsher- at least 12 or 15 years. the sister of a victim should practice yoga, the man- murderer also. It could help them in a way.
