Man shoots bride, groom, guests

A lovely, outdoor, May wedding by a river in Arkansas.. a happy event, as most weddings are, then suddenly saddened with gunfire as a mad man, not at all associated with the wedding, opens fire, shooting the bride, groom and two guests.

It would appear that the term 'A Shotgun Wedding' now has at least two definitions.

AP reports the bride, groom and two other people were shot, but not killed.
Sheriff’s Lieutenant Aaron DuVall told AP the man opened fire on the outdoor wedding with a 9mm pistol. He said the suspect was “not associated with the wedding at all. No one knew him”.

Patrick Paul Duvall, 29 – who is not related to the sheriff’s lieutenant – was arrested in a nearby car park.

The bride, groom and a third victim remain in hospital. One person was treated and released.

Duvall faces four felony counts of first-degree battery and a felony charge of vehicle theft after the shooting.
