Many killed in Pakistan bus crash

More than 60 bus passengers were killed when  the bus they were travelling collided with a milk tanker and caught fire in central Pakistan. Eyewtinesses said that The bus, travelling from Karachi,  was speeding when it struck the other vehicle on a narrow road, then immediately began to burn and 60 out of 72 passenger  were burnt.

At least 35 passengers were killed when a bus collided with a tanker carrying milk in central Pakistan, police said.

The incident happened late on Monday near the city of Muzaffargarh, 75km (45 miles) northwest of Multan.

The bus was speeding when it crashed into the other vehicle and began to burn.

Road accidents are common in Pakistan, with hundreds killed annually. Roads are poorly maintained and buses are often in poor condition or overcrowded.
