Marie Moore Shooting: Video Shows Mother Kill Son, Mitchell Moore

The Marie Moore shooting of her son, Mitchell Moore, is about as shocking as they come, and the entire thing was caught on video. Marie Moore, who in suicide notes and recordings stated that she was the anti-Christ, shot her son Mitchell point blank in the head in a misguided attempt to save his soul and bring peace to the planet.
Marie Moore, 44, left a suicide message:“I had to send my son to Heaven and myself to Hell.”
She said: “God’s turned me into the Anti-Christ. I’m a good person, but the Devil and God turned me into the worst person in the world.”
The 44-year old Florida woman with a family history of mental illness was caught on a security video tape at the Shoot Straight shooting range as she shot her 20-year old son Mitchell Moore point blank in the back of the head. She then turned the revolver on herself, shooting herself in the mouth. She later died in hospital.
Charles Moore, father of Mitchell, told the police that in 2002 Marie Moore was in a mental hospital under the Baker Act. In the recordings left for the police by Moore, she referred to that time but stated she was not sick. Two of the notes were signed "Failed Queen." Late Monday family found three suicide notes and audio tapes. They gave them to the police.
Moore said on one of the tapes that she wanted to 'save' her son and do it in a public way so that the world could be saved. "Hopefully when I die, there will 1,000 years of peace."
Marie Moore is shown on the video tape getting along with her son while the pair was shooting targets, Sunday, and the incident appears to have been totally random and unprovoked.
According to Casselberry police, a security video at the range shows Moore, who seemed to be getting along fine with Mitchell, walk up behind her son and point a rented revolver to the back of his head. Marie then is seen firing a single shot, instantly killing her son.
She then turned the gun on herself. She put the revolver in her mouth and fired. She died later at a local hospital.
According to the family, Moore had a history of mental illness.

Then the door knocked loud and clear,
The ambulance was here.
In came the medics with the doc.
You told them you were an angel and they were frogs,
Some of the things you did and said,
Made it clear to all you had lost your head.
So your mother arrived to help take you away
Get you help save the day. A tortured life had
Paved your way. To the strange dark cervices
Where you lived that day.
The day the ambulance took you away.

Tina, thanks for breaking this story yesterday.
Unfortunately it did not come up as a 'related story' that was being worked on or I wouldn't have written this today, although I'm not sure you would have liked me adding the very graphic Surveillance video caught by the Shoot Straight camera.
