Marina Silva joins Green Party

SÃO PAULO - Marina Silva, a defender of the Amazon and Brazil's former environment minister joined the Green Party. She was welcomed by party leaders and supporters who chanted "Marina for President”.

Marina Silva left President Lula da Silva's ruling Workers' Party after  30 years of an active and productive participation in the national political scene.
