Mark Hardy, a Former LA Kings Hockey Player and Now Assistant Coach Has Been Arrested for Sexually Abusing His Daughter

Mark Hardy was arrested in Washington DC on Friday morning for allegedly sexually abusing his 21-year-old daughter reports TMZ.

According to the police report on the incident Mark Hardy was arrested after his daughter told the police that he 'put his hand down [her] shorts and touched her genital area without her permission'. Both he and his daughter were staying at the Mayflower Hotel in DC where Hardy was arrested earlier today. 

Hardy is set to appear in court on Friday on a misdemeanor sexual abuse charge.

The LA Kings have released a statement saying:

Hardy became an assistant coach for the Kings in 2008 and before that he played for 15 years.
