Marla Gurecki Haskins, a Teacher at Canandaigua Academy in Western New York Has Been Accused of Havind Sex With a Student

Marla Gurecki Haskins, 37, was charged on Monday and has been accused of having sex with a 17-year-old male student in a classroom during school hours at Canandaigua Academy. CBS has a photo of Marla Gurecki Haskins.

She has also been accused of texting two16-year-old male students with 'promises of sex' according to RochesterHomePage.net.

Ms. Haskins has been on leave since April 13th for the alleged incidents and now faces several charges. For texting a 16-year-old with the 'promise of sex', she faces a charge of disseminating indecent materials to a minor. She also faces three misdemeanor counts of official miscounduct and endangering the welfare of a child, and has pleaded not guilty to all of them.

She has been working as a teacher since 1995, but is not being held by police and has been released at this time. More charges could be filed however as the case is investigated further.

The male students who are allegedly involved in the case have not been named due to their age and it is not known if they still attend Canandaigua Academy at this time.
