One of the most widely respected women in Baluchistan, mother of a martyr whose second son has faced Pakistan's military torture cells and is still in prison, has appealed for the release of an official of a United Nations agency.

She is a mother who lost her son unjustly and does not wish this should ever happen to Rose Solecki.

"He is neither a Pakistani, nor a Punjabi, I appeal to you to free him. He is our guest he is a traveler," I wept when I heard the mother of a young slain Baluch nationalist appealing to the kidnappers of John Solecki, head of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, to let him go.
