Mary Richardson Kennedy, Wife of Robert Jr., Charged with DUI
Mary Richardson Kennedy, the Wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Has Been Charged With Drunk Driving
Mary Richardson Kennedy was arrested and has been charged with drunk driving after police saw her drive over a curb outside a school in Westchester County according to CBS. This occurred on Saturday May 15 and she told police that she was headed to pick people up at the local fair. She had a blood-alcohol level of 0.11 percent however.
It is not know if anyone else was in the car at the time of the arrest.
According to the San Fransisco Chronicle, the police had been called to the Kennedy home twice in the last week, although the visits were unrelated to the arrest last Saturday.
One of the calls was apparently a dispute between the children and another was filed as a 'state domestic incident report', but no arrests were made and no follow-up was considered necessary after either of those incidents.
Police would not say whether anyone else was in the car when Kennedy was arrested or if she had a lawyer. There was no phone listing for the Kennedy home.
Mary Richardson Kennedy is the wife of Robert Kennedy Jr. who is the son of the former Senator Robert Kennedy and the nephew of President John F. Kennedy. Her husband now works at the White House as an environmental attorney.
