Maxine Waters is someone that I respect for her ability to represent the interests of her community. I can't say how effective she has been at creating jobs in her district. I know that companies like Computer Sciences Corporation,. Fairchild, Boeing, and many others have departed there. It probably has to do with the fact that she does not support the defense industry as strongly as she supports social welfare and liberal ideals.
In the end, if I lived in her district, I would simply ask if things are getting better or worse? In my experience having lived there, I left because it was deteriorating rapidly.
