How about a summer break from federal gas taxes at the pump? That's among the McCain economic proposals.
Sen. John McCain will take a bold step forward today as he addresses the state of America's economy and promises to balance the budget. McCain's proposal, called "Jobs for America," includes these points:

PEP, I like this story. It's good stuff.

Hi mpress, he's got some darned good ideas. The article also gives the link to the entire .pdf file as well as the short form of some key elements.
You think people will actually read it before kneejerking around to condemn it? Want to place bets? ;}
Thanks for the read and the flag.

I see no points.
I am not surprised.
Four more years.
Vote McCain/Bush.

Perhaps if you followed the link and read the highlighted article you might find the points.

So, the point is to drive traffic to other sites?
at 08:08 on July 7th, 2008
The point is to highlight with commentary or write original stories--or at least it has been for at least the almost one year I've been here.
But you do have a point. Maybe you should suggest that NP do away with highlight. Just email the staff with your concerns.

Hi dunkelberg, I had a few spare minutes so I went and got some more information for you.
"Share the news with the click of a button! Highlight grabs anything on the web you think is news. One click gets your story started, and connects you to our worldwide network of eyewitness reporters. And if you have a blog, Highlight sends you readers."
The Newsroom has several pages of explanation on the Highlight Tool. And, as I noted before, I'd suggest you write staff about your concerns re: highlight tool.

If one already wrote a story it is permissable to highlight a portion of the article. In fact one should not highlight an entire article. When I highlight the hard work of someone elese, you darn right I allow folks to read the rest at the writers site. The only time it is an issue is if the main thrust of the site is revenue as in Google tracking articles or a copied article with ads all over.

Thanks for dropping by politisite. I also emailed dunkelberger with the information so he could have it right at hand. It's been so very long since I read the entire thing that it was surprising to find how long it is. It does just take a bit of time, I think, for everyone to learn the many ins and outs of this particular website.

I am totally impressed, and I've just got to page 10 so far.

I was up overnight when I originally read it and I still haven't digested all of it. I need to go back and re-read, because there is a lot of meaningful stuff there. Thanks for the careful read and flag.

MSNBC trolls panned him.
