The McCanaanite Promises to Fill his Harem with Woman

 By Albert N. Milliron OP-ED Politisite.com

"I assure you, with confidence, at the end of my first term you will see a dramatic increase of women in every part of the government, in my administration," McCain said. "I look you in the eye and I promise."

So there you have it, if you can't beat them join them.  Why just one woman, when you can have cupboards full of females.  Oh and don't think he is not running around looking for a mate, "running mate" for second fiddle.  his short list has become 49% shorter than the last polls that said, McCain can hang on to the disillusioned Woman from the Hillary anger and looking for a fight.  The woman who vowed to vote for McCain over Obama.  The numbers are tapperring off like many predicted and Obama is getting woman back as he is the one who will keep abortion legal, promises health care to all, tax incentives, better leave programs, and equality througout the land.  It's a story the Democrats have been touting for years but always seem to have an excuse. Blame a Republican has been the one on the top of the political billboard.

McCain in his virtual town meeting praised Hillary Clinton, another hint he needs their vote,

"Every place that I go, I'm told that Sen. Clinton inspired millions of young women in this country," McCain said. "And not necessarily young women -– inspired a whole generation of young Americans in this country."

Wow, what has happened to McCain?  Is he back on the straight talk express or the Gender Talk Express to woo the feminine undecided voters who are searching for what to do this season.  How about John McCain a mans man or in this case a Females man.  Everyone loves a man with a record less a criminal one.  Loves a Man in Uniform and was a hero when just getting out of, "over there" was the order of the day.  He stayed because his buddies could go with him.  He was a man of privileged that just as well could have stayed home with dad and watch less fortunate soldiers die.  A females man.  A man who gambled death on a ship were more than a hundred men died.  He nearly lost his life but he fought with death and won.  This is a ladies man "sorry Mrs McCain"

He also stressed Bipartisanship in a partisan world.  A Man with a track record that says, "I will cross over to get things done.  Ladies always break up fights.  John Gets him self in trouble, playing with the enemy.  As them what they have done for the county today.

John McCain, R-Ariz., promised today that he would increase the numbers of women in government if he is elected president.

McCain was answering a question at a "virtual town hall" meeting, which his campaign promoted as an opportunity for presumptive Republican presidential nominee to reach out to independents and Democrats, and aimed at former supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton.

His opening remarks at the event included a long section of praise for Clinton, the Democratic senator who officially suspended her presidential campaign in early June.

He stressed bipartisanship, and took several opportunities to mention his work with Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy, as well as Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold and North Dakota Sen. Byron Dorgan.

McCain's town hall was not open to the press -– reporters were invited to listen in on a conference call.

"We do many private meetings with potential supporters and offered the media an opportunity to listen to the senator's remarks," said Brooke Buchanan, a campaign spokeswoman.

Buchanan said that 75 people were in attendance at the campaign's Arlington, Va., headquarters, and that others participated over the phone.

Not all of McCain’s answers were likely to appeal to moderate voters. He stressed his continued support for the unpopular war in Iraq, and called Roe vs. Wade "a bad decision."

"I think we have to convince people that our view, that the rights of the unborn are as important as rights of the born," McCain said. "Because I think we share the same respect for human life."

Wooing the disgruntled Hillary voters is his best chance, really: the Obama camp is too entrenched.

I find the headline pretty offensive, I have to say. Also, are you saying that having women in government is something to be avoided?

That's what I'm getting from this sentence:

So there you have it, if you can't beat them join them.  Why just one woman, when you can have cupboards full of females.

Well, it is offensive, especially to professional women, but then again, it's also classic baiting. Negative attention is still attention!          ;}

Also playing with McCain's name like that is ..baiting. Let's play with say, Obama's name "Hussein" to create negative images and see how far we get!

Lawyers say that if you don't have the facts on your side, argue the law. If you don't have the law on your side, argue the facts. And in the blogging world, if you don't have the steak, sell the sizzle!

This, too, shall pass. Maybe someone will bestir themselves, long-term,to take a long at both candidates' employment and promotion history with women, and what they've promised. I think the thing with McCain is that he'll be looking for smarts, saavy, and professional accomplishment; Obama will be looking for titles with dedicated Obama fans. Just my opinion, though.

I thought you were not going to comment on my material anymore.  any Publicity is  good publicity the way I see it.

How about the headline found in the Fairbanks Daily News Miner that say 13 fires are now 5.  Look it up PEP.  I would think you would hav better things to do than complain about a writer who has more front page stories than you and more views and Ihave been here half the time.  Is that is what is bugging you?

0
PEP

Oh sheesh. Are you still on about what your rankings are?

I thought you might have settled down from the last time you got mad and attacked people for ...commenting on your stories. When you got comments that disagreed with you and your tactics from more people than me, you promptly removed the story, hence removing the comments, then re-posted it as new.

How's that for Now Public's goal of transparency? You could have, like others, left the comments, pro and con, the entire conversation, up there, and let it play out. Instead, you chose to censor and delete materials because people said something you didn't like.

Gee whiz, I don't know how many front page stories you've had since they started counting them, which wasn't that long ago. As you'll recall, when we all discussed the Leaderboard, and asked questions, they told us the front page story count was  only since they began the first cut at having stats and a Leaderboard--sometime last month. In essence, it's bogus--doesn't cover many many months for a lot of us.

You seem to have huge concerns about who gets what ranking, or if you can beat everyone in general, and me in particular. That's *your* gig, don't thrust it onto other people. I simply don't care. Nor do I care how many page views you've had.

Listen up, I'll tell you again in public what I've told you before in private when you  repeatedly told me that you're out to beat me on Now Public: I'm not here to be competitive. If you beat me, fine, have fun doing it.

Here's the deal, politisite: you put material up, people are going to comment on it. They are not always going to come along and agree with you. If you don't want people to comment on your material--especially when you go out of your way to bait and to admit that you know you'll get guff--then tell the staff that you want special privileges.

Tell them that you want your account set up so that no one can comment on your material unless they leave a Good Stuff flag.

Simple.

One of the reasons that I told NP in the Forum that I didn't want a Leaderboard is because I saw problems like this coming.

Now, here's the deal: why not comment to people about what they have to say, instead of attacking people personally? So far, you're the only person on NP who gets away with that.

Really.

My take is this: if someone has a good position on the Leaderboard, hopefully, they'll set a good example for others. So how does attacking others personally, yelling about standings on the Leaderboard, and deleting materials when they have any form of disagreement with you play into setting a good example?

Most of us are here to enjoy ourselves and each other. Comments like the above don't do that for anyone except, I guess, you. And if you want to beat everyone on NP in the standings, and that's what it takes to make you happy, then that's what you'll act on.

Yor are delusional as I have never compared your states with mone.  Produce you sources that you are so sticky about.  Do you know what a Flaming policy is?  I have asked you not to comment on my work as you seem to have an agenda.  You don't talk about thee content of the process, just how it doesn't meet your standard.  Go do some work that meets your standard and leave my work alone as I am open to cirticism of ones who are really interested in bettering NP.  But you have an agenda.  Allow my to suguest you go to the forum on stats.  You were the highest poster on what is and what the point system is, so don't give me, I could care less.

BTW, I can repost a story when the comments are out of line with the material.  Had you comment on the content, it would still be up.  By the way, I was prised for the title but knew you would come alone with you two cents.  You are very perdictable.  You pick a NP user for the week  or leave because you are upset about a user.  I happens over and over again.  Like I said in my email.  I wish a cease and disist from you comments.  I am working woth staff to block you now as you are nothing more then an insrigator of conflict

Have a nice day

Errr, comparing the # of your front page stories to mine is....comparing stats.

Settle down.

As for the blustering about "working with staff," it's simple. I've blocked you from my email box, after today's private email, although it's taken me weeks to get around to doing it. You've earlier sent other emails on a par with your comments here.

Do check out the flaming policy here. You're the one flaming all over the place.

Sure thing, you can "repost when the comments are out of line with the material," I guess we all can. But who's to say what's "out of line?" You've made your terms very clear: don't disagree with me. If we all adopt that as our criteria, then there will be no dialogue.

Cool your jets.

Although I consider it unfortunate that you're doing this again, still and all, better you have at me than someone else like this. And if you'll do it to one person, you'll do it to another.

You can't stop people from commenting on articles, politisite, unless, as I said, you can convince NP to set a special policy just for you.

The floor is yours to continue flaming if you'd like to. But I hope that you'll consider NP and the community here vs. your apparent grudges.

 Let's talk about promoting conflict.

Actually, we don't really want people deleting stories to remove comments. The policies at NowPublic are to remain as transparent as possible.

This means that unless the comments are in violation of the terms of service or flaming policy, they should stay on the story. Those policies are the same for *every* member of nowpublic, regardless of ranking. Guest Editors more than anyone should try and promote these values and keep a cool head about them.

While we know everyone is passionate about their work, we hope for an environment of mutual respect and encouragement.

If you were able to read through the lines.  I support woman in the cabinet.  They have been left our.  Clinton who said he was the champion of minorities and woman in his administraion cant compare with george Bush who has more minorities and People of color not just in his adminsitration but in he cabinet.

John McCain has vowed to do the same thing.  He should be applaused.  I am a jounalistand you probably read the story based on the headline.  Futher you read that John McCain has made a comiitement to add deserving woman to his cabinet.  Not only that his short list for VP has been nixed as to add a good woman for the job.  No Matter this will be a historical election.

So there you have it, if you can't beat them join them.  Why just one woman, when you can have cupboards full of females.

What that sentace meant was why just have Hillary Clinton when you can have many woman in the Presidential cabinet.  Why would that be offensive to you?  Do you want only men in the White House.

Do you all remember eng 151 when you got a reader and was asked to explain what it said beyond the running story.  The insight, the posibilities.  Thats what this article is about.  Imagine a white house that has woman in the administration that could have access to the president to convie their view.  What a country that would be.  It is sad to have to explain my premise and conclusion.  The hopefulness of a woman filled whitehouse was filled within a story.  Compare and Contrast and use examples of what was and what can be.  Use a metaphor to explain a concept.

This is an OPINION piece and should be labeled as such in the Title! Your terms and language are offensive  and bigoted.

politisite, this usually happens with you, I now have some questions. Why?

This is the second time you have GS and then removed the GS rating.  It has happened when PEP is involved.  The reason for your complaint is bogus

First line

By Albert N. Milliron OP-ED Politisite.com.  OP-ED Means Opinion-Editorial.  This is my opinion and you have yours. Why would you read an article and GS it twice and than take it down on the grounds of it being Bigoted, Offensive, and my terms. You say this usually happend with you.  My question?  Where?  Have you found a bigoted and offensive work by me?  Come on Rene' you follow PEP in all of these attacks.  If I am bigoted and Offensive why do I have such large readership?  Go ahead though the Manuals of Politisite and Find me a Bigoted offensive piece.

If you read between the lines, which I don't think you did, it was a peice that praised McCain for committing to having a large group of woman in his cabinet.  You might want to read as with many works the hidden meaning in the story
