McCanns Lisbon Press Conference

The parents of missing toddler Madeline McCann are back in Portugal, for a one day trip to address some legal and PR matters:

The parents of missing girl Madeleine McCann have returned to Portugal together for the first time in more than two years.

Kate and Gerry McCann met lawyers in Lisbon but did not visit Praia da Luz, where Madeleine disappeared in 2007.

It is understood they held discussions with their legal team and a PR agency on ways to advance the search.

Mr McCann said private investigators were still looking at "hundreds of thousands" of pieces of information.

The one-day trip was the first time the McCanns, from Rothley, Leicestershire, had returned to Portugal as a couple since September 2007.

Mr McCann has visited Portugal on two other occasions in the past two years, most recently in April to advise private detectives filming a reconstruction.

The Truth Of The Lie had hampered the search and added to Kate and Gerry McCann's distress, a judge said earlier this month. The couple are taking legal action against one-time investigating officer Goncalo Amaral, after winning a gagging order against the publication of his book, which claimed Madeleine was dead.

That poor family, just will they find their precious little princess. I think the parents have strong family support, and their religious beliefs,to see them through this incredibly cruel nightmare.
