McDonald's Sued After Wife's Nude Photos Circulated on the Internet
PHILLIP and Tina Sherman have filed a $3m suit against McDonald's after nude photos of Mrs. Sherman were circulated on the internet. The photos had been on Mr. Sherman's mobile (cell) phone which he accidently left behind at McDonalds in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is not known whether they include Mr. Sherman's Quarter Pounder.
Phillip Sherman says he accidentally left his phone, with the photos, at a McDonald's in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He says staff promised to secure the phone until he could retrieve it.
The Shermans claim they had to move to a new home after the womans's name, address, and phone number appeared online along with the photos.
Tina Sherman says she began receiving offensive calls and text messages about the pictures from her husband's mobile phone after he left it at the McDonald's on 5 July.
The couple then discovered that the nude pictures she had sent to her husband's phone had been posted online.
The Shermans are suing McDonald's Corporation, the owner of the franchise involved and the restaurant's manager, saying they have suffered emotional distress, embarrassment and damage to their reputations.

This is be on real, he lost it and they fund it and gave it back, so it was opened and so on, next time they will just through into a garbage bin and tell the customer no phone found, sorry! The pics will still be published and Not one to sue. I think they ( the Sherman's)should be sued for lack of common sense.

Methinks Mr. Sherman is the publisher of those pictures.

This story has lit up the web, and generated a tidal wave of spam... we've been playing whack-a-mole all day over "Tina Sherman nude" links.

His fault. He stupidly left the phone behind. For all we know, another customer could have fished the pics out and distributed them even before McDs found the phone.
Because of that uncertainty, there is no case here.

I echo Paschen's thoughts, how stupid can they be. Why would they have nude photos on a device like that if they didn't expect to expose them to the world? Has she signed a contract yet?

Dim bulbs, all of them! They should be shot for dumbness.
Good luck with the lawsuit! All I can say, the Shermans will pay out more for a lawyer than they get, which will be zilch!

A Hoax to extort money. If photos got on Net, they could never be completely expunged. I haven't seen them and apparently, neither has anyone else

I'm sorry but it seems to be another plot to gain 15 minutes of fame as well as some money. I don't buy it.
