Shooter Killed after Opening Fire on McKinney, Texas Police Station
A man who pulled up in front of McKinney, Texas police headquarters and opened fire is confirmed dead. While exchanging gunfire with police, the attacker set his pickup truck on fire. Packed with ammunition, the truck exploded. The gunman's identity has not been released.
Nearby Collin College was temporarily locked down. Though there were conflicting reports, Deputy Police Chief Scott Brewer said that there was only one shooter.
McKinney police Lt. Scott Brewer said the man apparently parked a pickup in front of the building and set it on fire about 9 a.m. He also screamed in the direction of the building before opening fire.
