NP Rank:
Mechanical Spider Hatched in the Minds of Genius Madmen
In the frigid dawn of a dark September day was born a mechanical creature hitherto undreamt of.
It was raw and fragile in its beauty. It was the unadorned spawn of 9
inspired insomniacs, spurred by the call to arms of the 4th annual
Vancouver Junk Yard Wars. While VJYW is worthy of its own story it was,
in this case, the genesis of far greater things.
Wrought from the 48 hours of creative intensity
and endurance was an inmaliable team of builders. Charged by the thrill
of those first steps, a core handful of those team mates committed
themselves to a second generation of walking machine. A stronger,
faster and far, far sexier version of the original.
This is the story of that team and their epic
journey from the industrial bowels of Vancouver to the mad dust of
Black Rock City and beyond. This is the story of Mondo Spider Project!

I am glad to see that the operator of the vehicle is wearing a proper
helmet. One should always strive for safety, under any
circumstance.

i think this is a most excellent use of your engineering degree. but
are you sure the helmet is strong enough for all that action?

Thanks Luki... you rule for putting up this story. It has made my
life considerably easier when I'm trying to explain to German and
French tourists wtf I'm doing with my life. Can't wait to get back to
work on Mondo.

Congratulations from me too! By the way, I could help design a
spider helmet that could look like eyes for the spider, to give
it that realistic effect. Safety Third is the best way to go,
since fun and fashion always come first and second!

The last three comments should be ditched into a black bog. This project is so amazing, it's amazing it hasn't been featured on Letterman.
