Media condemned Casey Anthony for the death of her daughter Caylee, even after an American jury declared her not guilty; but when an Italian jury found Amanda Knox guilty, the media declared her innocent, and drove public opinion to pressure the Italian judiciary to overturn their verdict, and they did.

In Casey Anthony's trial, the manner of death could not be used against her, since the cause of Caylee's death was unknown.  But in Amanda Knox's case, the cause of Meredith Kercher's death was known to have occurred by murder.

There was no evidence to place Casey Anthony at a crime scene,  by contrast, Amanda Knox admitted she was present when Meredith Kercher was murdered, and her words revealed knowledge of the crime, namely, the presence of a black man, Meredith's screams, and the cause of Meredith's death, " . . . She fucking bled to death."  Also, Amanda's footprint in blood, her DNA in the drain, mixed with Meredith's blood, and witnesses, placed her at the murder scene.

Since the cause of Caylee's death was unknown, the prosecution could only speculate about what, if any, instrument was used to bring about her death.  Chloroform was considered, but there was no proof that there was a lethal or significant quantity of Chloroform present, and there was no proof that Casey had access to chloroform.  Also, tape was introduced as an instrument used to suffocate, "But there is no proof that it was attached in such a way to block both her nose and mouth. In addition, there is no proof of whether it was affixed to her face after she was already dead."  By contrast, it was clear that the instrument that brought about Meredith Kercher's death, was a knife, and a knife that could have caused her fatal wound was found at Amanda Knox's boyfriend's house, with Amanda's DNA on the handle, and Meredith Kercher's DNA on the blade, despite a recent cleaning with bleach.

While Casey did things that were perplexing like partying and getting a tattoo; Amanda did things that could have been in furtherance of the crime.  Amanda and her boyfriend turned off their cellphones around the time of the murder, and turned them on again, shortly after the deed was done. The following morning, they purchased bleach, twice, during a time when they told the authorities they were sleeping; and they brought a mop and pail from the murder scene to Amanda's boyfriend's house, which they thoroughly cleaned.

Finally, by all accounts, Casey loved and delighted in her daughter, and had no reason to want her dead; while Meredith Kercher was known to be critical of Amanda Knox's promiscuity, poor bathroom hygiene, and exhibitionist tendencies, and on the night Meredith died, she complained that her rent money was missing from her drawer, and she went to Amanda's room to look for it.  Also, a witness described an argument about money, between Amanda and Meredith, leading up to Meredith's screams.  Finally, the police found that Meredith had received money, that was missing, and a similar amount of money was found on Amanda, reduced by money she spent on lingerie, the day after Meredith's death.  Lingerie she had previously complained that she urgently needed, but that she could not afford to buy.

So with virtually no legally recognizable evidence, the media declared Casey Anthony guilty; and with more evidence than it takes to put some Americans to death, they declared Amanda Knox innocent, and interfered with the operation of another country's judicial system, making it as double minded as our own.  Then they told us to make sure that Casey Anthony can't make any money, and they supported every effort to make her pay for court and police services pertaining to her case, while whipping up hatred of her every chance they got.  But for Amanda Knox, the college co-ed who killed for money, they are prepared to give her so much money that she will never have to kill for it again . . .

The one bright spot, in the cesspool of perversion, swirling around the Amanda Knox case, is the revelation that Nancy Grace thinks she's guilty!  So now we know that the hang 'em high spokesperson, who has always been a vigorous voice for condemnation of suspected criminals is, at least, even handed.  When she declares everyone's guilty —  that means ambitious, college educated, good looking, young, white girls too . . .
