Megan McAllister Defends Philip Markoff Accused Craigslist Killer

Phillip Markoff, 22, was arrested yesterday and now stands accused of being the Craigslist Killer, a man who is thought to have killed at least one woman who had placed an Casual Encounters ad on Craigslist as a masseuse. Markoff is being held without bail and his attorney John Salsberg has already stated that his client is innocent.
Markoff's fiance Megan McAllister also defends the man she loves in an email sent to Good Morning America the morning after his arrest. In the email message McAllister describes fiance Phillip Markoff as a "beautiful person" who "could not hurt a fly." Megan McAllister and Phillip Markoff, a medical school student in Boston, have been together for nearly four years.
The accused Craigslist Killer was arraigned several charges including murder, armed robbery and kidnapping, in a Boston court on April 21, 2009. Megan McAllister and Phillip Markoff were planning to wed in New Jersey on August 14, 2009, four years to the day of their first date and exactly four months after the Brissman murder.
Prosecutors say they traced an e-mail address used to set up an appointment with masseuse Julissa Brisman of New York City to Markoff, who was on his way to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut with his fiancee when he was arrested Monday afternoon.
Brisman was found dead April 14 in a Boston luxury hotel. Markoff is also charged with robbing and tying up another woman who advertised massages on Craigslist on April 10.
Phillip Markoff fits the description of the man caught on hotel surveillance video shortly after the April 14 murder of Julissa Brisman. An aspiring actress who earned money as a masseuse, Julissa Brisman was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds near her set up massage table in a room at the pricey Marriott Copley Place hotel.
Markoff is also considered the prime suspect in several assault and robbery cases involving women who had advertised massage services on Craigslist. Two of the cases fit the Craigslist Killer; one in Boston four days before the Brissman killing, and another in Las Vegas a month before. The case of a third possible Markoff victim in Rhode Island is still under investigation.
The Boston Globe and New York Daily News quoted unnamed sources saying they believed the same suspect was behind two other attacks on women in hotels this month.
The first victim was a 29-year-old woman who advertised on Craigslist as an exotic dancer and was robbed of her credit card and 800 dollars cash on April 10.
The second, a 26-year-old woman who offered visiting massage services, was shot dead.
The third, just four days ago, was a 26-year-old prostitute from Las Vegas who was robbed at gunpoint at a hotel south of Boston, the Daily News said.

Robbing women for money?! He's pathetic and its extremely unfortunate and sad for the woman he killed.
And his fiance claiming he "wouldnt hurt a fly" makes him sound GUILTY! Theres many different sides to people and if you honestly think someone you know would never hurt a fly, either you are extremely naive or they are excellent actors/liars. He obviously had an addiction and like most people those addictions can lead them to hurting a fly and/or KILLING an innocent human being.

.Wait a minute-most addicts are not killers- this guy is also psychopathic and very sick.They often say about serial killers, "But he was such a nice guy!" Markoff is only 22, a high class guy who was probably just getting started acting out his compulsion to kill lower class women who act out sexually in one way or another. He's a creep and very scary, and it's wonderful that through modern technology they were able to catch him before he could kill again.

Megan McAllister is not dumb, stupid or in denial. She is simply a narcissist--just like her fiance. She wanted to have her big wedding---at any cost. Who cares if the groom killed a hooker. Who cares if he stole money. She is not stupid, but in all probability--complicit in her fiance's criminal acts. Anyone who shares a bed--let alone a home with someone like Phillip Markoff in albeit--an apartment--a small place, is bound to come across "items of interest." This woman however chooses to bury her head in the sand and rant, "Philip Markoff is Innocent Until Proven Guilty"! So was OJ.

And I might add--the best hope for Megan McAllister is that she wakes up with the strongest pot of coffee and cuts her losses with chamelon markoff and continues to pursue her medical studies. Dropping it all for this scum of the other is absolutely illogical, irrational and makes absolutely no sense. If she continues to support this killer, what a sad state of affairs. She will have given up her dignity, her livelihood, her education and her future--all for a sociopath.

Megan, be glad it was not you as a victum. it could have been. if he did it to others he could have done it to you, your next man, do a background check. move on, dont waste your time with this guy standing by him. dont throw away your life on him. he is not getting out of jail. get some therapy and support from your family and friends. cut your losses. see if you can get your deposits back for the wedding stuff. good luck
