Mendiola is a short access road going to MalacaƱang in Manila, Philippines. The street starts from the intersection of Legarda and Recto ave. There is also a small bridge connecting to the intersection. The area is also the location of some known Universities (Centro Escolar, San Beda, Holy Spirit & La consolation) in the Philippines.

Mendiola is famous for being the venue for protest actions against the government. Because of this threat, the security tightens the area and a permit must be issued first before the protesters can demonstrate or else the Manila Police District will be forced to disband the demonstrators, often times a violent dispersal emerge on this event has the demonstrators want to be near the Palace while the Police wants them disperse.
