MHADA lottery result 2011 declares online today
Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) has declared the lottery results for the allotment of around 4,034 flats in Mumbai on 31 May 2011. The lottery draws will be found available online as flats will be sold through an online lottery which was scheduled to be announced today. MHADA started collecting forms from 27 April 2011. The flats are situated at Sion, Ghatkopar, Versova, Vikhroli, Malwani and Magathane in Borivli.

According to an interim order directed by the Bombay high court to the MHADA authority, 1% flat will be kept aside. It means that 40 flats will be kept out of sales from the draw of lottery. THE TIMES OF INDIA reported:
“These flats would be kept aside, till the Maharashtra government took a decision on increasing the reservation of flats meant for the disabled from the existing 2% to 3%.”
Around 80% of the flats will be considered for those who are not economically strong. However, there will be flats for the middle income and high income groups too.
According to Assistant government pleader, G W Mattos, MHADA had received 35,000 applications for flats. Among these applicants, more than 4000 people can buy flats which will be distributed based on lottery draw.
