I have decided to start special coverage of the Innauguration of Barack Obama on the 20th of January 2009. Since I will be in Miami, it would be important to see the reaction of Miami and events surrounding this historical occasion.

Miami Prepares for Obama will be edited continually as the time nears for the change of helm.

One of the Spanish Language Stations interviewed Saul Sanchez of Movimiento Democracia [Democracy Movement]. The topic was Obama, USA, and Cuba. http://www.democracia.org

As Miami prepares for the Obama Fest, a civic organization called Move On http://www.moveon.org has invited Obama Supporters to a Tuesday Night [January 20, 2009] party at different venues. The following is a list of parties from Move On.

Got plans on Tuesday night?

I hope not, because you've been cordially invited to an Inaugural Bash in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Miami. Well, a few of them actually.

Hundreds of thousands of us are getting together from coast to coast to celebrate this historic event together—and there are a few parties happening right near you in Miami.

There are all different types of Inaugural Bashes. Some people are holding potlucks in their homes, some are getting together in local bars and restaurants, and some are throwing black-tie Inaugural Balls. You can check out all the parties in your area to find one that's your speed.

You don't need a tux or a gown—all you need to do is show up. Can you make it? Here are some of the parties near you:

No matter which Inaugural Bash you choose, the important thing is that you'll be gathering with other progressives in your community who are fired up about Barack Obama's inauguration and ready to help get the change we elected Obama to deliver.

The grassroots energy that powered Obama's campaign isn't fading away. But we'll get back to the hard work of changing our country on Wednesday. On Tuesday, we're going to celebrate all we've achieved together.
