Michael Eddy Wilson Fired for Texting, Calling a Female Student

Michael Eddy Wilson, the girl's basketball coach from Butler High School in Louisville Kentucky was fired last week for texting and calling a female student hundreds of times and made calls totaling 5,399 minutes.

The texts and calls were discovered as part of an investigation by the Jefferson County Public Schools system, and he was promptly fired for 'conduct unbecoming a teacher'.

According to the local paper, the Courier-Journal, Mr. Wilson let students pay him to avoid running in his gym classes.

He was fired on Thursday for what Brent McKim, president of the Jefferson County Teachers Association, told The Associated Press on Tuesday he isn't certain if Wilson would appeal.

Wilson's team won the girls' state basketball title in 2008.
