Michael Jackson, Anti-Semite

While much of the world mourns the untimely death of the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson, it is worth recalling one of Mr. Jackson’s more unfortunate qualities: he was an anti-Semite.

In case you think I am making this up, allow me to refresh your memory.
Back in November 2005, Jackson was caught on tape in a voicemail to one of his former business managers calling Jews “leeches”. The tapes were played on ABC’s Good Morning America program, and Jackson was heard saying, “They suck…they’re like leeches. It’s a conspiracy. The Jews do it on purpose.”
And in 1995, Jackson provoked a firestorm of protest when he released an album called HIStory containing a song entitled “They don’t care about us” which had the following lyrics: “Jew me, sue me” and “Kick me, kike me”. He subsequently promised to re-record the song and delete the offending lyrics.
But then, in February 1996, Jackson nonetheless released a video of the song in which he had re-instated the brazenly anti-Semitic remarks.

So before you go shedding a tear in Michael Jackson’s memory, take a moment and consider the hate that he spewed against Jews, both in private and in public.

And then maybe you’ll consider saving those tears for someone far more deserving.

Sincerely? Do you really think that stating ones views, on the on the way Jews seek monetary gain is Anti -Semitic? That, actually is known as opinion. In America we express that freely. Both in public and in private. How ever in the big "scheme" of things. Michael Jackson and his legacy will provide vast quantities of fortune for Jews of all walks of life. Michael Jackson was not an Anti-Semite. Michael Jackson may well be the most influential person ever. You will never stop that. And your ploy to try and convince his fans and admirers is rhetoric. The reason Jackson even would comment on something so obvious in the first place is because he gave so much. When you give like that you are over whelmed with wonderment on how people bring themselves to take more than their share or hoard their wealth for just themselves. It was one comment about money. He has many other comments regarding how great Jewish people really are. Whats funny, is Michael Jackson made many comments about his own race for not being as philanthropic as they could have been, and at the fact that in hardship they also find ways to "leech". How ever, he is not Anti- African American. I challenge you to look the comedy of Seinfeld in which he makes many cracks about the frugal and "money hungry" character traits of Jewish people. He is Jewish. I agree that there are better things to say then to accuse or "be-little" someone. That is where I feel you should spend your time.

Sincerely,

Atus

He was indeed Anti-African American! That's why he spent so much time & money under the knife to change the color of his skin, his wide nose, etc. etc.

He was a bigot against the black & the jew. The two groups of people responsible for his talent & monetary success. He was unbelievably talented, but unhappy & ignorant about the real cause of his misery. What a shame. BTW, you sound pretty anti-semitic yourself by your post, Atus.

You are indeed wrong my confused friend. Michael loved his people and deep down you know your wrong and you should be ashamed of yourself for leaving such a comment.

So when you make other people rich through your efforts you are entitled to use disparaging descriptors of other ethnic or religious groups?  His defense is that he was overwhelmed by his fame?

"He has many other comments regarding how great Jewish people really are."

I didn't see you quote any here.

Can you please provide any verifiable quotes from Jackson that were complimentary to Jews?

Atus: "Sincerely? Do you really think that stating ones views, on the on the way Jews seek monetary gain is Anti -Semitic?"

Unbelievable. Lol. Yes - let's paint Jews as money-hungry leeches who suck the wealth away from the world.

Altus. There is nothing wrong with being ambitious. There is nothing wrong with striving. Sriving is good. Stealing is bad. If all Jews as a rule stole, then I could understand Gentile loathing of us. But we don't. Sure. We are ambitious. But that is not a reason to loathe us the way the late Michael Jackson the Muslim did. The problem is one of jealousy and always has been. The Gentile has always been jealous of my people - first, because G-d gave US the Torah. Now, because we are not confined to ghettos, with all our rights withheld, so that we are able to work hard and achieve. That's right. Work hard. It doesn't simply fall into our laps and it isn't gained through syphoning it out of Gentile coffers.

Sickening. Nothing ever changes.

B the way, I hope the guy rots in for the way he trashed my people.

ATUS is showing his own anti-semitism with his comments when he says that Michael Jackson's anti-semitic rants are not anti-semetic because they are known truths. Anytime you take a group of people and lump them all together and say that they are all "the same" you are being racist or anti-semetic. I would like to know how ATUS feels when people generalize about his race. I think he belongs to a race of people who don't know how to spell and are stupid accoding to what he wrote here.

Michi Gold , who in his post claims that Jackson is an anti-semite for some reason refers to him as Michael Jackson "the muslim" . Why would he needlessly mention the fact that he is a muslim ? Thats a pathetic contradictory post .

Michael Jackson said he wrote those lyrics to represent views of prejudgism in the world.  I'd like to think this is true but can see how the words can be misconstrued.

Michael Jackson calls Jews "kikes," and this isn't considered hate speech? How is this any different than calling Blacks "niggers"? Look at the rehearsal tape they released for They Don't Care About Us. The dancers repeatedly outstretch their arms in the Heil Hitler gesture.

Michael Jackson filled with love? Maybe for the little boys he plied with booze. And how was this bigot responsible for breaking racial boundaries? Just because he broke through to the idiots at MTV? Long before MTV, White America fell in love with Jimi Hendrex, the Supremes, all the Motown artists, and Louis Armstrong and a long list of other Black artists before him. It's pathetic that we're memorializing a racist pedophile as he arrives in Hell.

You have got to be kidding me!? The man is dead and you still think he is a molester? He is the best performer ever and you know it. DUMBASS!

Michael Richards destroyed his career by using the word "nigger." Michael Jackson gets a free pass when he uses the word "kike." Richards apologized. Jackson apologized, said he would change the lyric and never did. That makes him a racist and a hypocrite. And let's throw in drug addict who, in the end, didn't give a crap about his kids. Who weren't even his kids, didn't even bother to adopt them.

It was more important for him to take drugs and risk his life, and we're supposed to think he cared about kids? Puh-leeze! Like Kurt Cobain, he was a chickshit coward. Yet, we call him a great man. No wonder this country is in trouble. Where are our values, America?

I still fail to understand how this guy gets a pass from the media for being a pedophile and an anti semite.  Unbelieveable!

I'm not jealous of Jews, Michi. God may have given Jews the Torah, but he gave the rest of the world, including Jews, Jesus. What do you expect Christians to do? Reject the gift of Jesus Christ to prove we aren't "jealous" of Jews? Get real. You keep ALL the commands of the Torah while I accept the love and comfort of Jesus.

Michael jackson - "The idea that these lyrics could be deemed objectionable is extremely hurtful to me, and misleading. The song in fact is about the pain of prejudice and hate and is a way to draw attention to social and political problems. I am the voice of the accused and the attacked. I am the voice of everyone. I am the skinhead, I am the Jew, I am the black man, I am the white man. I am not the one who was attacking. It is about the injustices to young people and how the system can wrongfully accuse them. I am angry and outraged that I could be so misinterpreted."

As a musician i respect MJ's talent. That's whats being celebrated. As a person MJ was strange in ways but so are many artists. Now whether he was a pedophile, well that's debateable so I wouldn't brand him that. His lyrics in the song "they don't care about us" should of been changed especially once he was confronted how offensive they were. He should of been talented enough to find something else to rhythm with sue me, and white.  If he wanted to demonstrate how offensive bigoted people are, then why throughout the whole song did he choose to say "black" not nigger, or coon. Why didn't he say something offensive about any other color, religion or creed throughout the whole lyrics??? One has to wonder and it was only one verse so those choice of words were not significant to the song! Then few years ago he leaves clear anti-Semitic remarks on answering machine of person he had dealings with and happened to be Jewish. Did he even apologies for that???  I don't want to believe he was anti-Semite, but no question he had biased towards Jew's.

Angie773... you're funny.  What I want to know is anyone's opinion on the Jewish star among other religious symbols shown at the Memorial service during We are the World.  Is this a message from the Jacksons that what may have been viewed as antisemitism from Michael is indeed incorrect?  Why would they put a Jewish star in Michael's memorial if he was an antisemite?

I don't believe Michael Jackson was a pedophile, but he did seem to have a problem with Jews, or at least some Jews. The lyrics to "They Don't Really Care About Us" seem indefensible to me. Why put "Jew me" and "Sue me," next to each other? Is he implying that people often sue Jews? Or is he implying, as per a very common stereotype, that Jews are prone to suing others, and that by "su[ing] me," one is more or less also "Jew[ing] me"? It's odd that he should have these lyrics in a song with the apparent message of trying to end prejudices between races. It seems to me that Michael didn't see "Jew" as a "race," like "black" or "white." Defenses which state that Michael grew up in a Jewish community exist because he said so in his interview with Oprah, but unless there is some isolated Jewish community in Gary, IN, this seems highly unlikely. He also left an answering machine message to his manager in which he called Jews "leeches." Don't hate me; I love Michael Jackson, and I cried watching his memorial service, and I am also half-Jewish. But Michael Jackson spent the majority of his life in a business where, in fact, Jewish people do have a lot of power and top positions, so it would make sense that a lot of people he had to deal with (both good and bad) would be Jewish. This, combined with his inability to see the world from the average person's point of view, would be bound to warp his perception. Let's also not forget that Michael had a lot of Jewish friends -- isn't Debbie Rowe Jewish? I think his hatred of "Jews" was really a hatred of entertainment business executives, which he ignorantly and naively lumped under the misnomer of "Jews."

Zena, I think you are right on everything.  Regardless, what a dick thing to say and do.  I, too am Jewish and also felt horrible at this loss.  I'm surprised by his comment and find it weird that his trusted dermatologist and Debbie Rowe are Jewish along with his attorneys.  I think you're right, and, he should have been more thoughtful and insightful than that.  I'm disappointed at hearing this but I do still think he was the most amazing entertainer.  I do wonder about the kids and whose they really are.  I don't understand why there are no paternity tests done.

My dad doesn't like Arabs. Is he anti-semitic.  I learned that being anti-semitic isn't just limited to Jews only. Semitic peoples are Ethiopians, Ancient Babylonians, Assyrians, etc.

1
ForReal

Mike Dinwiddie.... You are flawed with your logic and need to educate yourself better! Even though etymologically the word Semites does  not strictly refer to Jews alone, the word "anti-Semitic or  Antisemitism is historically and etymologically a reference specifically against Jews! The prefix anti and the word Semite doesn't directly oppose each other in meaning! It's definition and meaning was popularized by a Prussan Journalist Treitschke and a German Journalist named Welheim Marr, arguing the Jewish "race" was inferior and threat to the Aryon race! So in answer to your question, no your dad isn't a antisemite if he only dislikes Arabs.

Debbie Rowe is half jewish.  Dr Klein who it is reported to have been a sperm donor for MJ is also Jewish.  In all likelihood MJ's children Jewish or have some Jewish blood.  If he was so anti-semetic why, pray tell would he choose these people in order for him to have children.  Now his wealth is going to children who, in all likelihood are Jewish.  I'm not saying that MJ may not have had problems with individuals who were Jewish but to say that he was an anti-semite is ludricrous.

To the person who says that MJ should rot in Hell.  Do you wish the same thing for the young Jewish men who were captured on video ranting racist abuse about Obama because he was willing to speak to the Arabs?  They were shrieking racist abuse such as... white power and f*** the N*****.   No?  Thought not!

Funny how all this hate is coming out from some Jewish people who are complaining about MJ's possible dislike of Jewish people.  Whiff of hypocracy.

Yes, if young Jewish men were shrieking racist abuse at Obama such as white power and fuck the nigger, these people should rot in Hell. Sorry. I don't know what you're smelling, but it's not hypocrisy; check your underarms. And by the way, the Jewish community condemned these young Jewish men and their remarks. Where was the Black community when Michael spewed his racist remarks?

It's not hate, either. Michael Jackson is not related to these kids at all. He didn't love them enough to adopt them, he didn't love them enough not to risk his own life by taking insanely dangerous drugs. Some father. These kids were his toys. Don't you think he would have contributed sperm (of God forbid had sex with a woman) if he didn't think he could just buy a few kids the way he bought off a few kids he molested? Puh-leeze! And even if you think he didn't molest those kids, is there any doubt that he plied them with Jesus juice? Now why do you think he did that? To save their souls?

0
leezer

Another thing: the only think Michael hated more than Jews were Blacks. Why else would he bleach his skin white? And don't give me that crap about that phony disease. He wore enough white make-up; why couldn't he wear black make-up? And why did he remove all the Black features of his nose? No disease there. Why do people idolize this guy so much? At best he was only an entertainer. Are we so starved for entertainment, we make great singers and dancers our gods? Doesn't anybody give a crap about the people who are dying needlessly for this country? Or is that too complicated to understand?

leezer - some of here us here are having a little hard time reading your tasteless posts because you obviously don't do enough research before you voice your opinion.  Michael Jackson had a severe case of Vitiligo (as been confirmed on tv by his own dermatologist, post-humous).  He also had a bad case of Lupus which made his Vitiligo even worse.  Here you are complaining about the amount of attention and tv coverage granted to Jackson while you could be out there, perhaps spend some of your "free" time to volunteer for those who are in dying needlessly for this country as you put it?  Why in the hypocritical world are you doing here spending your precious time talking about Michael Jackson? You sir, have no class.

Hey, sorry, I haven't been around here for a while because I've been busy dividing my time between the lab, researching vitiligo, and volunteering for those who are dying needlessly for this country. What did I miss?
