Michael Jackson's burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Glendale, California has been delayed until Thursday, September 3 at 7 p.m. PST, according to a statement announced by the Jackson family today.

Aside from all the emerging rumors, laying the King of Pop to rest has definitely not been an easy walk in the park. Originally, Joe Jackson, the singer's father, broke the news to the public that the burial would be held on Michael Jackson's birthday, August 29, already more than two months after his death. Yesterday, the family made a statement saying that to "get things in order," the burial would be postponed to August 31, two days later than the previously announced date. However, as August 31 marks the first day of school in that Californian area, the burial was once again pushed back to September 3. The event will be limited to family and close friends.

Meanwhile, the release date of Jackson's concert rehearsal movie, "Michael Jackson: This Is It," was has been brought two days forward to October 28 instead of the previously announced date of October 30.
