NP Rank:
Michaela Garecht, Ilene Misheloff More Possible Garrido Victims
Police have announced that there are enough similarities between the abduction of Jaycee Dugard and two other missing girls to consider Phillip and Nancy Garrido "persons of interest." Michaela Garecht and Ilene Misheloff went missing before Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped in 1991, but the circumstances surrounding their abductions have led police to investigate the Garridos further.

Michaela Garecht was 9 years old when she went missing in November of 1988. Michaela was taken in broad daylight in a kidnapping that was described as "brazen" and in a manner very similar to how Jaycee was later taken. Not only did Michaela Garecht strongly resemble Jaycee but the description of the car witnesses say her abductor was driving matched a vehicle found on the Garridos property. The description of the man who took Michaela Garecht fit with the way Phil Garrido looked in 1988.

Only three months after Michaela Garecht went missing Ilene Misheloff, 13, was abducted. She was taken in January of 1989 as she took a shortcut home from school through a creek. Because Ilene Misheloff was on an isolated trail when she went missing there are no eyewitness accounts to link her to the Jaycee Dugard case, but other evidence leads police to believe that the abductor of Michaela Garecht and Ilene Misheloff are one in the same.
Dublin Police Lt. Kurt von Savoye and Hayward Police Lt. Chris Orrey said at a press conference today that there were enough similiarites between Dugard's case and the disappearances of 11-year-old Michaela Garecht in 1988 and 13-year-old Ilene Misheloff in 1989 to warrant a search of the couple's Antioch home and the property next door.
Authorities searching for clues in the Dugard case found a bone fragment last month that tested as likely being human.
"Our investigators immediately started looking into the possibility that the Garridos had some connection," von Savoye said. "Additionally, we know that based on the Dugard investigation as well as Mr. Garrido's history, these people -- people who commit these offenses -- tend to be predatory and tend to have multiple victims."

Police have found more bones today, both on Garrido's property, and the property next door.

OH I sure hope that they find the cases are related, Michaela Garecht and Ilene Misheloff's kidnappings were 2 that upset the whole bay area back when I lived there.
I hope they do find he was involved, because it will bring much needed closure for the two families
