Madam GG,
What you did today was a complete miscarraige of the Parliamentry Democracy under which Canada operates.
Notwithstanding the fact that alieanating Quebec may appear less serious than alienating the West, I cannot believe that you would bend to the self-serving pleas of a Prime Minister who has lost the support of the majority of the members of the House of Commons.
You know as well as I that a non-confidence vote is perfectly legitimate and constitutionally appropriate when a majority of members object to the proposals of the governing party.
Just because a Prime Minister wants to avoid a non-confidence vote in the House is not proper justification to prorogue Parliament.
Your decision has diminished the role of the Governeral General of Canada and your own credibility.
SHAME ON YOU!
