Wash and wear. It seems to be the practice with words by  transnational news agencies covering the situation in Honduras.
In a today report from Tegucigalpa,  the news agency Reuters calls Micheletti "leader" instead of usurper or any other name indicating the illegality and violence of his actions.
Below the title of "leader" in the headline follows this: "Tegucigalpa (Reuters) -
Honduras' de facto ruler called on Wednesday for new talks to solve the
country's political crisis and a source said he might be willing to
allow the return of ousted President Manuel Zelaya under strict
conditions."...
This kind of media (Reuters, AP, et. al.)  always fails to report that what the rightwing in Honduras did was prevent the president from giving the people the option of voting to indicate whether they wanted to hold a future referendum on making changes in the constitution -- which would have benefitted the poor and working class in Honduras

There is no mention the even larger demonstrations to bring the legitimate president back -- and the repression of those demonstrations in El Paraiso and other zones of the Honduran border and in the International Airport of Tegucigalpa.  Wash and wear Micheletti and the coupsters,  "leader" it's just  a word.
Clearly, it is obvious to the whole world that the coup in Honduras could only take place and succeed with the approval of the US.

Finally, the truth. Micheletti and his supporters (I still can't believe he has supporters) are so caught up in their own rhetoric about the unconstitutionalities that everyone seems to forget that Zelaya was simply trying to do a NON-BINDING survey. That's fricking all. There's this little article in the Constitution, Article 2, which clearly states that sovereignty comes from the PEOPLE, and that the PEOPLE'S SOVEREIGNTY can also be exercised through a plebiscite or referendum.

But no matter what you and I keep saying, coup supporters will keep backing their (truly, not made-up) terrorist "leader".

You know I was going to debate this crap about Reuter's being unfair in their reporting but it seems that all of the people who have posted in this thread are leaning so far to the left that your vision seems to be failing. Again I invite any of you to come to Honduras and I WILL COME TO THE AIRPORT and pick you up and personally show the wide spread support for Micheletti and the very few that want Zelaya back!!!!!

Oh sorry Jamp I forgot your not allowed to leave your country.

Arbol, again artical 239. And the "non binding survey" was the first step on the way to a dictatorship, just like Chavez did in his country.

Wake up people!!!!!!!
