The best way to respond to this injustice is to avoid using google. Google may not have respect for people or our country, but they do respect money. Talk their language, cut them off!!

Of all the parodies of pictures of other first ladies who happened to be white but subject to no less humiliating pictures (search pictures of Barbara Bush - who was lampooned as prostitute, or Laura Bush - who was portrayed going to a halloween party as man who had been run over by a car, skewering her over a trage in which when she was a minor, had been in  a wreck that cost a person their life?), where was the outrage? Making her look like an ape is automatically racist? How about just offensive? What about if it was a dog, or maybe a snake? I think that the self hating, back whipping white liberals would line up to see who would be the first to yell RACIST, because she happens to be black. I won't even mention the media whores Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, or even worse, the Muslim racists The Nation of Islam, of which a who has more in common with the KKK then with the Muslim religion. They are anti-Semetic, anti-white, anti Asian, and anti-Christian. If the KKK registered as a tax emempt organization, the reaction would be instantaneous! In the last election, 90% of blacks voted Obama, 52%white. If those numbers where reversed the scream of racism would be heard in every news outlet, magazine and neswpaper as well as from liberal Democratic pundits of both races. What's amazing is that that statistic still screams racism, but God forbid you call, and pardon the pun, a spade a spade and point it out. Excuses of 'they are just catching up to whites' or 'historic choice' or any other such nonsense belies the simple truth. One set of rules or conditions, cannot be applied to the advantage of one segement of society, while exluding all others. This simple rule was the foundation for desegregation. As Harry Truman once said (and who's wife was the victim of many vicious media attacks during his presidency), 'If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.' in response to a question about media criticisms. That still applies today, sixty years later. The picture is satirical in nature and meant to spark controversy. I doubt seriously if that the picture had been one showing Laura Bush as slave owner, or maybe in the shape of a 'cracker' or  had the words, 'peckerwood' superimposed over her face, that even one person would have yelled racist or scaring Google into apologizing. C'mom peeps, get a life and quit playing the race card every chance you get if something happens to critisize of make fun of King and Queen Obama.

For all that reverse discrimination is perceived by many to disadvantage white people, there is still the fact that America was historically quite recently a racist (if not officially) country. This does not mean that 'tit for tat' applies, but it does mean that the comparison of a black person to a monkey, however much this particular person may look like a monkey, is unacceptable as there is much more of an open wound, and even if the wound is healed there is still a scar. White people are embedded into the security of a western nation to a much greater extent than black people, it just isn't the same situation, however much we would like it to be.For this reason race has to be much more of an issue for black people, purely because their situation is much less secure in a historical sense. Maybe in a hundred years it will be possible to make such jokes without offense, maybe fifty, maybe two hundred, maybe never. But not now.

your obviously white so you dont understand what black people have been through. you only have to go back 50 years ago where racism was legal in the USA and black americans were subjected to a gegreee of brutality which you would never understand unless you were treated the same for 200 years and told that you were stupid, treated worse than a dog just because you werent white! those white people who are still and havnt mixed very well with 'coloured' people got alot to learn.

Obviously you're black and think only you can be a victim. Fact is you probably have never experienced hardship because of your race. I'm white and have been beaten up twice, once by a Hispanic gang in Killeen Tx. and a black gang in Va., while growing up. My sin was being white! Also at least once in adult life I have been denied promotion so a LESS qualified black person could have the job. I know a man in the department beside me that had the same experience in being cut from promotion because they needed a lesser qualified minority. Whites are the ones being racially discriminated against, and you are a hypocrite if you are for affirmative action! And for you white people who keep giving it up to the liberal agenda, keep it up and you'll finally get to wear the chains of slavery you so desperately seek.

I agree with you totally Elizabeth. This is a spoiled and brat-like nation of selfish individuals who only think about self. Heaven forbid they should do anything that would inconvenience them for even a moment. But, you hit the nail 100% on the head - money, that's all these greedy rich folks understand, and the only leverage-tool we as ordinary citizens have to speak for us. Amen and Right On!

Google has nothing to do with the michelle ape photo. It is the 'searches' that made the ape photo of michelle such a big hit. BTW, that michelle ape photo has been circulating the internet for over a year. Why are you so upset so late in the day about it!

spoke my mind

I think ur being ridiculous to change your search engine from google to yahoo just because it threw up this image. a search engine gives u search results. just coz curious people keep looking at this image keeps it on top.moreover, there was never this media outcry when many of the ex presidents and their wives were prtrayed as a lot worse than apes.fine, blacks were discriminated against for ages. but come on. you have to outgrow that. obama himself said that the blacks are a lot responsible for their current condition. agree ?and everytime u start howling when some an funny pic gone wrong pops up, you just further become the butt of jokes.ps. am not white or black. am brown.

I agree with you Ivan. If Osama would not have been elected President it would have been racist and Al Sharpton would have been the first one on the sWhite House lawn screaming. It is a pun and no harm intended. But wait until Jackson and Sharpton get a hold of this. All hell is going to break loose. Get a grip people. I think it is funny.

I am a Conservative that disagrees with most of President Obama's plans. However, I find this photo to be disturbing, hateful, and down right racist. The fact that others have suffered similar ridicule does not lessen the outright crudeness and total lack of civility. Shame on Google. Filtering out such nonsense is not censorship; it is holding to standards to which Google should give careful consideration.

Talking about switching search engines, I think Yahoo's search engine is powered by Google also.  Switch to IX Quick or some other search engine.  Yahoo also has started this big push on pop up advertising pretopic videos etc.  A real pain.  Choose another site for your homepage and search engine .,

1984 + 25 years = The pigs have taken over the house.

Are you referring to Animal Farm? If so I would say your point is contradictory. If it were 1984 then the pigs would not have taken over the house, they would have continued with their path to communism (which I assume you are saying Obama is doing). If they had taken over the house and you are comparing Obama to the pigs, then he would be just be replacing the old regime with a new one that does the same thing. So Obama is just like the old regime, while radically going towards a new one. Doesn't work tha

Political cartoons and caricatures are older that our republic.  From George Washington to George Bush, presidents and their families have been targets of funny and often vile attacks.  Bush was caricatured as an ape on a daily basis.  Being black will not and should not shield the Obamas from the same treatment. Get a life, silly lefties.

I detest the Obama's politics. They are 180 degrees from what this country stands for. That being said, the contemptible (and very poorly executed) image we are discussing isn't even a "decent racist" (oxymoron?) insult. But don't blame Google. (Why does everyone want to shoot the messenger?) I'd say it's even money this kerfuffle is a leftist plot to misdirect. "Oh. Our poor first lady.......so don't look as we steal another $100 billion." The more I think about, the more transparent it becomes. Oy vey. It's going to be a long 3 more years. So choke on it, you commie ultra-leftists, socialist, one-worlders. You're last chance is crumbling before your very eyes.
