GOP Activists Compares Michelle Obama To A "Gorilla"

On Friday June 12th South Carolina Republican Rusty DePass likened Michelle Obama to a Gorilla. DePass was responding to a report on facebook about a gorilla that had escaped from the Riverbanks Zoo in Colombia, South Carolina, when he said "I'm sure its just one of Michelle's ancestors - probably harmless." As a result of DePass' insulting comment that likened Michelle Obama to a gorilla, DePass had to take down his facebook page on Sunday June 14th. Although the gorilla insult was quickly removed, someone captured a screenshot that is circulating on the web.

Busted by South Carolina political blogger Will Folks on his FITNEWS blog, DePass told WIS-TV in Columbia, "I am as sorry as I can be if I offended anyone. The comment was clearly in jest."

Then he added, "The comment was hers, not mine," claiming Michelle Obama made a recent remark about humans descending from apes. The Daily News could find no such comment.

Columbia's mayor called on DePass to apologize properly. "The comment is reprehensible. There's nothing funny about it," said Democratic Mayor Bob Coble. "What he needs to do is simply apologize in a straightforward manner."

DePass is a former state senate candidate and state election commission chairman. Various local politicians have expressed their dissapointment about DePass' comments

Former state Republican chairman Katon Dawson says the comment was sad and disappointing.

The comment comes shortly after the South Carolina Republicans began a campaign to reach out to minorities

Say Rusty,

I just came across some pond scum that is one of your ancestors. But I say this in jest, so no offence intended! Do you like my "apology"?

Great googelty-mooglety. Dumbass.

But kudos to the writer. They got "Republican" in at WORD SEVEN! Way to go! Heck, you got "Republican" in before you even got to the guy's name!  Any smear in a storm, right?

You read in the MSM about Murtha, Dodd, or Rangle, and you wouldn't have any idea what party they belong to.

[cue "Real Men of Genius" jingle]

"But then there's you, Mr. See-Everything-Through-Partisan-Glasses-Psuedo-Journalist!"

["Reaaaal Men of Genius"]

"Jaywalking? Murder? Who cares? It only matters that it was commited by a member of the opposition party!"

["Hate them Republicans, yeah!"]

Yes, comparing a woman to a primate is OBVIOUSLY a directly racist comment, don't you think?

His name has the word "ass" in it. Curiously appropriate. Then again, that would be an insult to the poor donkey who has most certainly dePASSed this foul creature in the evolutionary cycle.

OMG! I guess, well I just don't know. These are the people who make so easy for terrorist, either from another country or right here in the US, to strike with deadly force. Why? Because they can always depend on hate to pre occupy Americans, so they can just do whatever they want - no body is watching.

My sentiments exactly. With the state of the US economy, men and woman dying daily in Iraq and Afghanistan and North Korea and the many issues lingering from a previous administration, this Idiot has nothing better to say. I say he's right up there with the Holocaust shooter - Hateful and Ignorant!

America's diversity lends to our greatness however such comments reminds us that our biggotted past is the covert present and the future.  We all know that behind closed doors political correctness does not exist.  But, for any person of average intellect to make or post potentially racist comments in a public forum, then claim no offense intended, insults us all.

Hum, how can we not get upset hearing such comments from an official and elected politician?

We may need a code of conduct for our politicians. Or some major cash up course on what evolution is.

Humanity still has a log way to go.

Rusty DePass = typical right winger.

Dwight Wannabe and Megan Lukes: people too stupid to realize they're not fooling anyone.

Rusty De Pass needs to retire, and let the people who cares for our country run it. He is nothing but an old man that has out lasted his time!  Its people like him that is distroying our country, and our young people do not need to even hear his name.

Well, I believe Obama became a President not because he is the best but because he has chosen the best crew. It paid attention to every detail. I watched one video, which I found at the torrents files search engine www.picktorrent.com . The sites of both candidates were compared. And it was told that Obama’s site was more open for people, they could easily take part in any meeting, could easily made donations. It was better structured and so on. And this  article proves it again that Obama's crew paid too much attention to details. PR: wait... I: wait... L: wait... LD: wait... I: wait...wait... Rank: wait... Traffic: wait... Price: wait... CY: wait... I: wait... YCat: wait... I: wait... Top: wait... I: wait... L: wait... C: wait...

The ultimate "Politically Incorrect" joke of the day...so apropos to this discussion: How do you get a female gorilla in the "mood"? The other day officials at the London Zoo put up a large picture of a male gorilla soon to arrive at the zoo in order to “whet the appetite” of  female gorillas. One of the female gorillas began nibbling at the picture and eventually ate it...thwarting the efforts of the zookeepers to "get her in the mood." Wouldn't it have been easier for Zoo officials to simply ask Obama how do you get a female gorilla in the mood? After all, he's been able to mate sucessfully with Michelle twice! Ha, ha!   Althor :)
