Mike Akl Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Staten Island

Michael Akl died today from injuries sustained during an early-morning motorcycle crash.
At around 12:30 am, Mike Akl was thrown from his bike after crashing into a livery cab at the intersection of Targee Street and Laurel Avenue in Stapleton, NY. Akl's motorcycle caught fire during the crash.
The injury marks the fourth motorcycle death this summer on Staten Island.
Mike Akl was 20 years old.
