Militant group claims downing of Nato chopper in Afghanistan

An Afghan militant group led by former Afghan Prime Minister Gulbadin Hekmatyar has claimed to have shot down a Nato helicopter gunship in Afghanistan.

Hizb-i-islami, a banned militant outfit, has claimed to have brought down a gunship helicopter of Nato in Afghanistan.
Spokesman of Hizb-i-Islami said the militants targeted Nato helicopters with rockets and anti-gunship weapons in Chagharpa area of Maidan city. He said the incident took place at 9:00 AM.
