In the Swat Valley of Northern Pakistan, bombings by militants have destroyed several shops as well as one government-run girls' school.

Militants detonated an improvised explosive device at the school around 2am, destroying 10 classrooms and two offices, Officer Bashir Khan of the Kabal police station said.

Although the explosives left the power out in part of the area, there are no reported incidents of injuries from the attack.

So far no one has claimed responsibility for the bombings.

I may be old fashion here, but for crying out laud, Children, Woman and the Youth should be of limits for all, may they be Armies, Soldiers, Terrorist, Freedom Fighters, I don't care!

They has to be at least some code to get through those brains to keep the War and violence away from the Children...

Yes, when I looked further into it, apparently the region is home to a radical cleric who sees girls going to school as being "un-Islamic."

And this apparently is not the first time a school has been bombed by militants in the area either.

Quite sad at any angle.
