Military to brief Pakistan Parliament on threats to national security

Following a truck-bomb attack on a five-star hotel near seat of governance in Islamabad, the Pakistan government seems to have decided to synchronize its policies to eliminate on terrorism.

In camera sittings of both houses of Pakistan parliament on anti-terrorism policy are likely to be held after Eid-ul-Fitr early next month.

Official sources said here Tuesday that Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and other military commanders will brief the parliamentarians about military operations in Swat and the tribal areas and outline threats to national security.
