The last survivor of the Titanic disaster of 1912 passed away at a care home in England. Millvina Dean was just nine weeks old when the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank into the Atlantic on April 15,  1912.

Dean has no recollection of the event, although it did leave an indelible mark on her life. She lost her father Bertram, who was one of more than 1,000 victims who perished in the disaster.

During her final days, Dean struggled financially and sold some of her Titanic-related mementos to make ends meet. Several people associated with the 1998 Titanic provided some financial relief. Titanic stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and director James Cameron all donated money to the Millvina Fund to help cover her health care costs.
