Update: Students on a second bus not involved in the crash are on their way home.
10:30 AM Update:
Students of Bus 2 (not involved in the accident) have boarded the bus in Albertville and are travelling home to Pelican Rapids. Students will be released only to parents at PRHS upon arrival.
About 50 people were on the bus, at least 25 have been taken to hospital.
A bus carrying band students from a Minnesota high school crashed Saturday morning, leaving at least one person dead and dozens injured.
The bus was filled with band students from Pelican Rapids High School.
The bus was traveling west when it rolled around 5:48 a.m., State Patrol dispatcher Tom Aspling. Aspling said 47 people were on the bus and all were taken to hospitals in Buffalo, Monticello and Anoka to be checked for injuries.
It is unclear what caused the bus to roll. Investigators remain at the scene.
Westbound lanes of I-94 are closed at this time.
