Alisha Sidie, 27, vanished without a trace after a heated argument with her ex-husband, Douglas, on the evening of Friday, November 7, 2008. Friends tell AMW that although Alisha and Douglas were legally divorced, that they were working things out, and living in the same home with their toddler twin boys.

Missing Wisc. Mother Meets Tragic End

Eight days after 27-year-old Alisha Sidie was reported missing by her ex-husband, authorities made a horrifying discovery -- one they hoped they'd never have to make.

On the evening of Saturday, November 15, 2008, Alisha Sidie's ex-husband, Douglas Sidie, 39, led law enforcement authorities to her body in a remote, wooded area in the nearby town of Komensky, Wisc.

"After exhaustive search efforts and investigative work, investigators were able to identify a key witness in the case who was cooperating with law enforcement," Jackson Co. Sheriff Duane Waldera said in a press conference.

"Based on information obtained through the cooperating witness, Doug Sidie was brought into the Jackson Co. Sheriff's Department. We believe that Doug Sidie is responsible for the death of Alisha Sidie, as well as attempting to conceal her body and evidence of the crime" Sheriff Waldera said.

According to police, Doug helped authorities find Alisha's body, and has remained cooperative with them throughout the ongoing investigation. His story had changed, however, from the one he initially told police shortly after his ex-wife disappeared.

Social Services personnel are working with both sides of the family to find a place for Alisha and Doug's twin 2-year-old boys to live.
