Opal had a lunch date at Marie Callender's restaurant with four friends. The plan was for Opal to pick up two of her friends and meet the other two at the eatery at 12:30. However, her friends waited and waited...Opal was a no-show. When Carol returned home from work, there were no signs of Opal and her car was still parked in the driveway. Yet Opal and her purse were both missing. Carol dialed 911. Cops say they first suspected Opal's mental health as a factor in her disappearance. They thought she may have wandered off, but it didn't add up...Opal had a clean bill of health and Opal's family attested to her mental fortitude. Police began to suspect that Opal was the victim of foul play. Two days later, police became convinced that someone may have done something terrible to Opal when they discovered that her ATM card had been used a few miles from the Vegas strip inside Sam's Town casino. Her driver's license was found a few feet from the ATM machine. Though Opal is currently considered missing, Las Vegas homicide detectives have stepped in because they believe that a killer could be on the loose. With no suspects yet, police have a deluge of questions: Has anyone seen Opal Parsons on or since August 30, 2007? Was she lured from her home or physically abducted? Who used her ATM card after her disappearance? And most important, is Opal Parsons dead or alive?
