Certainly a step in the right direction for a son to do, considering dear old Dad has been described by world leaders everything from a terrorist fundraiser, humanitarian to Nutjob.

Certainly a career aspiration no son would wish to have on his business card.

Moammar Gadhafi's son leaves Libyan politics, won't succeed father

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

TRIPOLI, Libya - Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi's son says he will no longer be involved in politics. In doing so he defies long-held expectations that he was preparing to succeed his father.

He described Arab nations as "living in a forest of dictatorships" and called for a democratic transformation for Libya.
